Carried Sound Journal
From the Field
This is where I write about sound healing the way I actually think about it — not the spa-menu version, but the real mechanics. What happens in the nervous system when a bowl rings. Why some rooms go still and others don't. What it takes to hold space for another person's rest.
I've spent more than twenty years in the healing arts, and the longer I work with sound, the more I find myself wanting to put language to what's hard to explain: why it works, how it feels from the inside, and what I've learned from watching hundreds of people exhale for the first time in what seems like years.
Some posts here are for people who've never tried a sound bath and want to understand what they're getting into. Some are for practitioners — yoga teachers, bodyworkers, therapists — who are curious about weaving sound into what they already do. Some are just observations from the Wednesday night floor.
